Nortonville is a home rule-class city in Hopkins County, Kentucky. The population was 1,204 as of the 2010 census.  Located in southeastern Hopkins County, U.S. Route 41 passes through the eastern and southern parts of the city, while U.S. Route 62 passes through the northern part of the city.  In addition to this, Interstate 69 and the Pennyrile Parkway intersect just to the north of Nortonville.  The residents of Nortonville enjoy hunting and fishing around Nortonville Lake along with many community and social events that the city and other organizations host.  There is a park, library and media center, and a walking trail all located at the site of the old Nortonville School where the current City Hall resides.  Nortonville provides a hometown atmosphere with many local restaurants and citizens that are always willing to offer a smile and wave whenever you visit.
